Oktoberfest | German Restaurants and Bars in Chicago

|

This year has been a rollercoaster, but there are tons of things to celebrate! Oktoberfest is here, and despite iconic events being canceled, we have come up with some fun ways to celebrate the Autumn season! Read on to find out where to find all the good brats and brews, at the best German pubs and restaurants near Lakeshore East in Chicago.

The Berghoff Restaurant

Just 6 minutes from Aqua Lakeshore East is The Berghoff Restaurant! This historic restaurant and bar has been 100% family-owned and operated for over 121 years! They serve classic German favorites and American bar bites, with a vast selection of local and German imported beer. For Oktoberfest, they're offering festive menus and beers on draft like their Annual Märzen Style Oktoberfest brew! See their menu here.

Prost!

One of our favorite places to grab a drink on any given weekend is Prost! in Lincoln Park. This neighborhood in general has a lot of German restaurants and bars, much like Lakeshore East has a lot of Italian and Irish eateries nearby. This charming beer garden is just a 13-minute drive from our luxury apartments, and they've got a great Oktoberfest menu with gorgeous spreads like this! Grab a boot and giant pretzel this weekend!

Dog Haus Biergarten

If you're keeping it lowkey, go for some tasty hot dogs and bratwurst at Dog Haus Biergarten over in Lincoln Park about 12 minutes away. Their dining room is closed at the moment, but you can still eat outside or get take out and enjoy their food from the comfort of your apartment at Aqua!
