Halloween is right around the corner and what better way to get in the mood than with a trip to a Haunted House! This year is a little different, but one thing stays the same: Chicago has the best haunted houses. It’s true! There’s a ton of places that are still open this year, and we've narrowed it down to the top two. That’s right, just two because the rest can’t compare with the phenomenal ratings these attractions have received! Read on for the top two haunted houses in Chicago.
13th Floor Haunted House
This is perhaps the spookiest house on the list, but you can be the judge of that! USA Today has called 13th Floor Haunted House one of the “Top 5 most terrifying haunted houses in the USA.” That’s a pretty impressive review! The theme for 2020 is Deadly Reflections, and the curse of Bloody Mary. Tickets for this place are selling out fast, so be sure to buy a ticket in advance!
Midnight Terror Haunted House
The competition is fierce in Chicago, because it’s also the home to the Midnight Terror Haunted House. Midnight Terror is about a 30 minute drive from Aqua at Lakeshore East and it’s the Number One Haunted House in all of Illinois! The scariest haunted house in the state is here in Chicago, and this place is not for the faint of heart. Put your bravery to the test here at this giant haunted house experience. They have two different attractions and themes this year, so take your pick or visit them both! You can’t go wrong, honestly. Tickets are for sale online and in person.
