Finding Your Om While Staying at Home

With life feeling a little overwhelming these days, it is valuable to take a step back, take a deep breath, and remind yourself of what is important. When stressors related to the Coronavirus pandemic start to cloud your mind and take over your thoughts, there are many ways to bring yourself back down to earth and calm your mind, soul, and body. Lucky for residents here at Aqua at Lakeshore East, we have a full schedule of virtual yoga classes coming up on our Facebook page for you to watch, participate in while maintaining social distancing, and keep saved for whenever you need a little namaste. 

Brought to you by our official Yogi, Jen Agan is here to bring you an in-home restorative yoga class for you to enjoy while staying home here in your apartment home in Chicago. Differing from 30 to 45-minute classes each, Jen is here to bring you some peace as you restore your energy from a long day working at home, or start your day off on the right foot! No equipment is needed, however, if you happen to have a yoga mat, that is recommended. 

 The first of our online classes occurred yesterday, April 2nd at 9:00 am which means it is live and ready for you to watch now on our Facebook page! Tune into our next class tomorrow, Saturday, April 4, at 11:00 am to get your weekend started in the best way possible. Continue into next week and strike a warrior pose with us on Tuesday, April 7, at 12:00 pm. Finish off the week strong with a downward dog on Friday, April 10 at 5:00 pm. 

No matter how you are spending most of your time recently, don’t forget to find your inner om and rest into your best child’s pose. We are proud to offer our residents the opportunity to find new ways to stay physically and mentally fit during these uncertain times.
